Dear friends,
I’m writing to you from the cozy living room of a sangha friend in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I’m currently resting with a cup of peppermint tea and tin of chocolate biscuits while my friend picks up three Palestinian friends from the airport — I’m taking this quiet moment to send my love and updates from my past month of travel.
Please enjoy my writings about Palestine, Plum Village, London, and the Northern Irish coast:

One month ago, I departed Jerusalem for Plum Village, traveling with four friends to Tel Aviv and onwards to Bordeaux. Sister Luc Nghiem, a sangha friend Mathilde, and the full moon greeted us in the dark night. We quickly settled into giant tents and the joy of the Wake Up retreat, 600 young people from all over the world coming together to watch the rebel lotus flowers and to take refuge in stillness.
Three weeks ago, I left Bordeaux for London, where I met my tech consulting client Carefree and led testing cycles with users for a new web application. I ended my work with Carefree for the time being, and looking forward to exploring what comes next — let me know if you have any ideas.
After a holiday along the Causeway Coast, I’m now in Belfast, preparing for my next adventure: a formal one week training in the Community Resiliency Model (CRM) with my three Palestinian friends. Big hugs to my teacher Joann for making this dream happen for the four of us.
Thank you for your kind and loving words, my friends. I know you are there and I am very happy.
Love,
Melanie
